Split-level homes are nostalgic for me as they bring back fond memories of visiting my grandparents' split-level as a kid (I grew up in central Florida where most homes were slab on grade, so multiple levels and stairs were a novelty). One aspect of these homes is that the bedrooms are typically on the upper floor. This lovely couple wanted to add a first floor Primary Suite for aging in place. The addition seamlessly ties into the existing home while adding a Primary Bedroom, Primary Bath, Walk-in Closet, Laundry Room and Sunroom on the first floor. The project also included a new detached Garage and rear Patio. This couple now has a lovely first floor Primary Suite as well as plenty of room for grandkids to visit and space for hobbies in their retirement.
